Ekiti State University Dismisses Lecturers For Plagiarism, S*xual Harassment

Six lecturers of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, has been dismissed from the university by the institution’s Governing Council.
In a statement by the Deputy Registrar, Information, Mr. Ajibade Olubunmi, the affected lecturers were dismissed for offences ranging from plagiarism, manipulation of examination scores and s*xual harassment, to falsification of employment records.
The university, however, did not disclose the names and the departments of the lecturers.
The statement read, “The Governing Council of Ekiti State University has approved the dismissal of three senior academic staff of the university for alleged offences of manipulation of examination scores, plagiarism and failure to serve the university after being sponsored abroad.
“Another three academic staff had their appointments terminated for gross academic misconduct, falsification of employment records and s*xual harassment.”
