Vector Tells Us Why He Thinks He Is Different From Wizkid, Davido and Olamide

This week should be called celebrity interview week.
Budding rapper Vector, in an exclusive with the Nigerian Tribune, talks about other musicians people call his competition – youngsters Wizkid, Davido and Olamide.
Read excerpts below: -
Don’t you think the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Olamide are stealing the show from you and others?
I have never seen it like that. I will never see it that way.
Why?
These guys are successful and I bless God for their lives. If you care to know, our audiences are different, so they are not stealing the show.
What makes you stand out?
I don’t mean to disrespect anybody, I have high moral; the guy that doesn’t do tattoo or plait his hair. Moreover, I am a guy that believes in education before anything.
Are you saying this because some of these guys have tattoo on their bodies and that a handful of them dropped out of school?
No! I’m saying what makes me stand out is what I have been doing and what makes them stand out is what they have been doing. You see, we are not contemporaries, so no threat. I have my fans around the world and I am comfortable with the love they show me. Nigeria is developing, not because we are comparing it with other developing countries. If we do that, we are not developing

Ghanaian model and actress Juliet Ibrahim went on social network Instagram to tell the world that Kidney surgery won’t require up to $100,000 which OJB and his team were pleading for but just $50,000.
OJB Jezreel has released a statement saying:
“The mistake she’s making is that it depends on the hospital you are going to in India. She says she runs a foundation, they might give her a rebate. The procedure itself is $55, 000. When you take out $55, 000, you are left with $45, 000. What about the running cost of the procedure? You don’t go to India only to come back and start asking for help again. At least, I need some money to maintain myself for the next one year. So when you factor in all these costs, add air tickets and lodging, you will appreciate what we are talking about.

Inside the Henry Cavill-Kaley Cuoco Hookup

Kaley Cuoco (Film Magic)Semi-random-but-cute couple alert:

Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco are dating.
Sources confirm to omg! that the "Man of Steel" star and "Big Bang Theory" actress are seeing each other, although things are "very new."
"They both tend to keep their relationships very low profile, I'm sure this won't be any different while they get to know each other," one insider tells omg!.
Less than a month ago, it seemed as if the two stars didn't even know each other! Or maybe they are just really good actors.
Backstage at Spike TV's Guy's Choice Awards in L.A. on June 8, both Cavill, 30, and Cuoco, 27, were in the green room, although witnesses say the two didn't interact. Cuoco held court in a corner with a few girlfriends while Cavill was on the opposite end of the room with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his "Man of Steel" co-star Amy Adams.
Kaley Cuoco tweets this photo after seeing 'Man of Steel' (Twitter)On June 14,

Cuoco tweeted a photo that showed herself gazing up into Cavill's eyes on a "Man of Steel" poster: "Everyone go see 'man of steel'. It's fantastic in every single way."
Perhaps that was a cryptic shout-out to her new beau!
Cavill most dated "Fast & Furious 6" star Gina Carano. The two began seeing each other in fall 2012, although they kept their relationship out of the limelight. While it's being reported the duo called it quits in early May, sources tell omg! the two were off and on in the spring before finally drifting apart for good due to their work schedules.
As for Cuoco, she recently split from musician Bret Bollinger. The actress was briefly engaged to addiction specialist Josh Resnik before they broke up in March 2012. The actress also secretly dated her "Big Bang" co-star Johnny Galecki for two years.

Senate to suspend plenary over Ewherido’s death

Senator Ewherido
President of the Senate, David Mark, has said the Senate will suspend Tuesday’s plenary session as a mark of respect for the late Senator Pius Ewherido, who died on Sunday in Abuja.
Mark gave the hint on Monday when he led the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, and other senators to the residence of the late Ewherido in Asokoro, Abuja.
While consoling the  deceased’s wife, Doye,  he said, “In line with our tradition and as a mark of respect for our departed colleague, the Senate will suspend plenary tomorrow (today).
“We share in your bereavement, pains and sorrows at this moment of grief.”
Mark also urged members of the Ewherido’s family to continue to have faith in God, noting that death always subject believers’ faith in God to test.
“As Catholics, it is easy to say the Creed that I believe in God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. But when death comes, we question God. This is the time to increase our faith in God.
“If there was anything we could have done to save the life of our distinguished colleague, we would have done it but the Lord owns his life,” he counselled.
Also extolling the virtues of the late Ewherido, Uduaghan described the late senator as “a strong voice from Delta.”
He said Ewherido was an experienced lawmaker, having been a deputy speaker and later an acting speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
“In the last two years, he has brought this experience to bear on the floor of the Senate. We have lost a strong voice in Delta,” he said.
Receiving the delegation, the elder brother of the late senator, Rev. Fr. Anthony Ewherido, expressed the family’s gratitude to the President of the Senate, Uduaghan and senators across party lines for standing by them.
He said, “He was your distinguished colleague. I have always been proud of him but I am more proud of him in death.”
Similarly, the Leader of the Senate, Victor Ndoma-Egba,  said on Monday that  Ewherido’s death was a great pain and shock.
He said, “Senator Ewherido was the quintessential legislator, who was cerebral, insightful, clear in language and thought. He had the courage of his convictions and had an excellent grasp of legislative practice, drawing  from his experience as Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and natural endowments.”
Also, the member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Ndudi Elumelu, described as sad and deeply shocking the sudden death of Ewherido.
Meanwhile, the Action Congress of Nigeria described as a great national loss the death of Ewherido, who passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja on Sunday.
In a statement in Lagos on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party commiserated with the family of the senator, his constituency in the Delta Central Senatorial District, as well as the entire Senate over his untimely demise
It said the death of such a man of sterling achievements at a tender age of only 50 was a big blow to all, adding that he would be sorely missed.
Also, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum described Ewherido’s death as painful.
The governors, in a statement by their Chairman, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State in Abuja on Monday, said it was unfortunate that the senator, who they described as hardworking, could die when his services were more needed in the country.
The statement read, “We hereby condole with the Nigerian Senate, the government and people of Delta State and the entire Ewherido family  over the sudden death of Senator Pius Ewherido, who,  until his death, represented  Delta Central Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
“It is unfortunate that the hardworking, independent-minded senator, a political icon, and one of the most accomplished politicians in our country passed on at a time our country needed his invaluable service most. His loss is no doubt a monumental loss to our nation.
“Senator Ewherido’s departure is both painful and shocking. But we take solace in the fact that he lived and died well.”
